Spelling: Write misspelled words correctly 5 times on the back of the practice test you did in class today. If you made 100 today, you do not have spelling homework. :)

**Tomorrow is Jeans Day and red, white, or blue shirt for a $1 donation to one of our THA families that was involved in a bad accident over the summer. If you don't want to participate, you are to wear regular THA uniforms to school.

No Homework today.
The children labeled their August calendars for their reading logs. They are to read at least 20 minutes daily and the parent is to write the amount of time and initial each date of the calendar. Tomorrow is our library day and the children will be asked to check out a book that is on a 3rd grade or higher reading level for Accelerated Reader. This book should be completed within two weeks, and the student needs to take and pass the AR test for that book. The tests are on the computer and can be taken in the library or in the computer lab on Tuesdays.

We had a great first day. I enjoyed getting to know all the children and hearing how they felt about coming to fourth grade.
No homework this week. :) That will start next week.
All hard books need to be covered before Monday, please.
